Badlands Bash 2023 Recap 7-1-2023

What a day trip for our first in-person event!! The last minute decision to attend this event (due to rain) was made at 5pm the night before. 4am wake up to be on the road before 5am made for a LONG day! My amazing brother (in law) joined me on the adventure and we set out into the unknown. Midway through the drive as the skies were starting to get lighter we encountered light rain. This progressed to heavy rain, dense fog, and the skies turning dark as night while the wind was blowing parts of trees across the roadway. We carried on since the radar was showing only thunder and lighting with a chance of hail (oh hail no). Sure enough the weather was merely severe rain and some serious fog which made for slow going but there wasn't much traffic to contend with. The rain continued until after we arrived at the Badlands Off Road Park. The staff at the Badlands were so amazing and accomodating and got us set up with our wrist bands and suprised us with some official looking STAFF badges which made us feel very included in their event!
We set up in the rain and set out the things that wouldn't melt which is 95% of our display, only the stickers, business cards, and wooden sign stayed in the Jeep. The rain passed in about an hour of our arrival and opened up to overcast skies with not much heat...at first. Traffic began picking up and awesome machines and rigs began rolling in. Everything from mini bikes to Crawl magazine poster rigs were on the menu and we couldn't be more excited to be in a spot where we can spy them all before they got messy!
The event was busy with a lot of attendees and everyone was pumped to get out and ride with the pros, content creaters, their friends, and companions...I would be lying if I said I wasn't itching to get out there myself but we stood firm and answered questions from 9am to 4pm! In that time we met so many cool people it would be hard to list them all but we appreciated all of the positive feedback and the excitement around our products. Handed out stickers and business cards and even took a card or too ourselves to follow up on...so much homework (in the best way)!
We would like to thank the Badlands Off Road Park for having us, especially Sarah! Thank you Tony (bro-in-law)! Thank you to everyone who stopped by and chatted us up! Thank you to everyone spreading the word about our little idea! We hope to only get better from here, so if you like us now you will not be disappointed in the future!
